Canterbury Meals on Wheels is a service that provides home delivered meals for people living in the City of Canterbury Local Government Area, who are frail and elderly, have a disability, or are a carer.


Daily deliveries during the week

The volunteers leave our Carrington Square kitchen about 10.30am each day, meals are generally delivered within 90 mins.


Weekend and public holiday needs

Frozen meals are available for these days and should be stored in the freezer. They should be defrosted in the refrigerator 12 to 24 hours before eating.


 

What is Canterbury Meals on Wheels?

Cost of Meals

The cost of hot, chilled or frozen meals are $6.50 each and consist of a main meal, dessert and a piece of fruit or juice.

Meals on Wheels are more than just a meal!


In addition to the supply of a nourishing meal, the volunteer’s visit offers users a regular safety check. There are many in-home services to help you remain independent. If more help is needed, the Meals on Wheels Coordinator may be able to suggest some options.
